The reasons that snorkeling on Curaçao is so popular has mainly to do with the weather and water temperature. These allow for virtually year-round snorkeling. It always averages between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. Water temperatures also average around 27 degrees. Moreover, you usually have little trouble with waves and currents.

Little Curaçao
Another popular spot for diving and snorkeling is Klein Curaçao, located southeast of “big” Curaçao. The water there is crystal clear and the beaches are bounty-white.
Boat trips go to this small uninhabited island every day. A boat trip takes about 2 hours. Especially on the northeast side of Klein Curaçao you can snorkel well because the water here is the calmest
In the area near Jan Thiel beach (where many vacation resorts are located), at the end of the Caracas Bay road, you will find a special dive spot where you can also snorkel.
It is not a big tourist beach, but you do have the Tugboat Beach Bar, where you can order a drink and snack to recover after snorkeling.
At this particular snorkeling spot, a sunken tugboat lies underwater. Swimming a few minutes from the shore, you come out to this spot and have a special sight. A unique snorkeling experience to see a sunken boat so close with so much marine life swimming around it.
Playa Porto Marie is also one of Curaçao’s most beautiful snorkeling spots accessible from the shore.
You will find many species of fish such as the extraordinary Murenes. Also, the nature here is phenomenal. As you lie on the beach to recuperate after your snorkeling trip, you are still enchanted by the flora and fauna around you.
