Tugboat Beach is a very quiet and secluded bay in Curaçao. The water here is wonderfully clear and calm making it wonderful for snorkeling.
The road there is also special because you drive through nature and Tugboat Beach is a bit hidden.
There is a nice little restaurant, Tugboat Beach Bar, on the beach making this one of the better places to snorkel on Curaçao! In fact, you can also enjoy a snack and drink on the beach after snorkeling.
Would you like to go a step further than just snorkeling? Then you can opt for a diving excursion. During the excursion, you will be explained about diving. A diving instructor will always accompany you during the dive. The instructor watches for safety, the proper route around Tugboat and can point out great things.
Without a diving license, dives will often go no deeper than about 12 meters. However, this is more underwater than it may seem now. Deeper diving is also not necessary for a nicer experience at Tugboat since the wreck is not that deep. In addition, fish and plants are in fact in the upper ten meters of the sea due to the amount of light that still penetrates.
